Nice general guide
Nice general guide for toys that shoot - caps, bb's, etc. -- obviously not comprehensive, there are too many, but a nicely illustrated sample of what was available

Operating Toy Train Accessory -- No wiring required!
Keep in mind that this is a 50-80 year old product. That said, it still works with almost any classic toy train -- S, 0, 1, G, or standard. You slip the bar activator under the track, making sure your station master is not too close to the speeding locomotive (just like a real train) and run your train -- wind-up, battery power, live steam, or electric. When the train passes over the spring loaded bar activator, the station master raises his green paddle (in Europe, they used paddles rather than flags). On the downside, you may have to frequently adjust the spring tension & different weight trains require different adjustments -- it still better than complicated wiring. The figures are usually made of composition (glue, sawdust and plaster) rather than plastic and at age 50+ can be fragile. Kibri also made versions with lighted paddles -- they do require some simple wiring.

Getting difficult to find
These were original Zippo flints for lighters (or in my case for antique sparking/sparkling toys). Hard to find these days so I stocked up. Good quality, made in Austria, packaged in USA. Very pleased all around.
