Fabulous!
1 of 1 found this helpful I initially didn't see what all the fuss was about. I mean, how can one small stove top coffee maker be a game changer. Especially when it cost over $100.... I really didn't want to spend that kind of money. But I had a Venus Bialetti and it was horrid. It leaked around/down the handle when brewing and trying to pour coffee. This Alessi 6 cup is just so perfectly designed I see why its in MOMA. It goes together and comes apart very quickly and easily. It cleans easily. I did have to mess with the gasket and filter on the bottom until I found what works to get them out/apart. I use a Lodge cast iron cleaning tool, you know the small hard vinyl scrapers for inside cast iron skillets? Well the edge of one of those pushed just strongly into the gasket forces it up and pops out of the bottom and Voila! you clean it.
The coffee I have made in this pot is excellent. Strong espresso, cappuccino, decaf and regular brew. I can make myself one large very strong brew and fill my travel mug in the a.m. and head out for the day knowing I have my jolt of caffeine. I will be buying more of these for wedding gifts. They are just a wonderful kitchen tool.
