As a buyer, I acknowledge that mistakes happen. It is all about how sellers manage customers expectations and how easily and quickly mistakes are corrected that really counts.
Other Buyers - Beware of warranties and guarantees given on listings that extend beyond eBay's 180 day cover. The likelihood of the seller responding is extremely low.
If you have any issues or claims beyond the 180 day period and the seller chooses to ignore you, eBay is not the slightest bit interested in helping you. In fact, eBay makes the task of reporting an unresponsive seller very difficult indeed. Nor will eBay provide you with any follow-up based on your report.
I have experienced both and learned the hard way.

Perfectly adequate filter. One of very few that ship with a complete dust seal in the box.

Simple to add your HDD and use.
Set-up and use was just about as simple as it gets.
The unit is powered from whatever it is connected to via the supplied USB cable.
Do bear in mind that your device must be capable of supplying sufficient current to drive whatever you choose to install in the case.
Typical example: Toshiba IDE 60GB HDD requires 0.7Amps.
Connected to a windows PC the required drivers auto-installed in seconds and I was able to make use of 60Gb storage media from an obsolete PC.
In my particular case I could have purchased 60Gb of micro USB storage for not much more than this unit cost.
However, it's great if you hate waste. Fingers crossed, the circuit in the case works reliably for a reasonable number of years.

Very blue white colour temperature.
Compared to several other unbranded units this one has a very blue tinged light output reminiscent of many early models of allegedly 'white' LED. Everything else about the unit is satisfactory
