Just The Job
Does the job very well.

OK but don't expect it to work with thick wires.
Quite well made, but not really appropriate for use with greater than 3 amp cable. Connections are not really good enough to deal with thicker cable. However I liked the look of it so persevered using 10 amp cable, but I managed to solder tags to the three wires which I then was able to screw to the connectors (the wires were too thick to try fitting under the heads of the screws).

More Transparency and Openness
I purchased these to replace a pair of more modern Soviet 6SL7GT valves to see if the sound improved in any way. Comparing the two sets of valves visually, their design and construction seemed very similar. However when I installed the new valves, the sound was a major improvement with much more transparency and openness. The Sovteks seemed to compress the sound and push vocals into the background. I thoroughly recommend these Brimars.
