Magic Mini System

I bought this stereo for my girlfriends flat, I have one already and think they are great. The sound they produce is brilliant for the size of the stereo, it is a pleasure to listen to. The Onkyo own brand speakers(D-N9BX)really work well with the CR-515 Amplifier. The remote takes a little getting used to as it is a bit cluttered but the function of the unit is faultless. Even though this stereo is a few years old now i don't think there are many better micro systems on the market. Absoluetly love this stereo and for the price i'd find it hard to recommend any thing else for a small to medium sized room.

QED silver anniversary speaker cable

This is nice quality speaker cable, reassuringly solid and easy to prepare/terminate. I have used this in conjunction with gold connectors and it works very well. Sound wise I have notices some improvement over the freebe cable supplied with the stereo.

260 Lumens is enough

Torch technology has gone nuclear over the past 5 years. Torches now advertising insane numbers of lumens. This IMO is one occasion where more is not necessary. I use my 3D cell maglite for general stuff round the house from walking the dog & putting the bins out to changing light bulbs in the house. This bulb upgrade gives a really useable colour and intensity of light that is perfect for these type of jobs. The quality of the unit seems good. Price seems fair and I hope it lasts a long time.
