Poor, poor, poor quality finish. Zero out of ten.
1 of 1 found this helpful This hawk has two major faults;
All the edges of the (aluminium) edges of the hawk are poorly finished, uneven, even jagged, considering any plasterer uses the edge of the hawk to trim excess plater from a trowel, a clean hawk edge is more thadn desirable, it is essential. not to mention a safety issue as the almuinium is about 4mm thick, it is thin enough to cause skin damg when in use or when washing clean.
Secondly, the internal screw on the handle is very short, this would bt fine if it were not necessary to compress the foam pad between hawk and handle, (it would be impossible to use for any extended period without the pad, due to the welded bracket to which the handle is screwed)
And finally when the handle has been screwed in place, it does not sit at a 90 degree angle, but slightly lopsided.
So overall, a sheet of aluminium and a piece of wood, but this is no plasterers' hawk..
