Great design
This drip coffee maker far surpasses al previously owned models and brands both in design and in quality construction. Also, it makes excellent coffee! You can use either whole bean or ground coffee, you can choose the fineness of your grind AND the strength of your coffee. The timer is intuitive and works well (though the bur grinder is quite loud) with either whole bean or ground coffee. It does take several minutes to make a full pot of joe, but that is the price you pay for good, well-made coffee. I had a commercial model by Bunn and while it made coffee in a snap, it was lousy coffee no matter the quality of the beans used. I'll take Saeco any day. Life's too short to drink crappy coffee!
