This book should be required reading!
I had the original Hard cover. It was misplaced. The book has so much information on the English language. I am convinced that the English language is the most powerful language ever concieved by man. 500,000 words in the Oxford English dictionary. The next closest is German, 200,000 words, French has 100,000 words. All of the rest of the languages on our planet have significantly less. I believe the splitting of words into many fine, delicate concepts helps the mind to conceive, create, modify/enhance all of the technology, medical, sociological, etc, evolutions that are currently taking place,and will continue to take place in our future. This book should be required reading!

worth the money
