Auf Wiedersehen Pet the complete series 2.(DVD 2002)

I loved this show on it's original transmission which was in 1986. I still think it is one of the best series of the 1980's by far even though that the further 3 sequels did not have the same impact. It follows the lives of Dennis(Tim Healy),Oz(Jimmy Nail),Bomber(Pat Roach),Neville(Kevin Whately),Moxey(Chris Fairbank),Barry(Tim Spall)and Wayne (Gary Holton)all brought together by Maggie Thatcher's Britain at the time of high unemployment and forced to work in Germany to earn a living. The actors worked superbly together and even though quite dated still shows the determination that working class guys had just to get by. Although the cast all relatively unknown at this point were very green they all went on to forge very good careers on the Tv and Big screen all except Gary Holton who sadly passed away before production on the 2nd series was completed. A great blast from the past and well worth taking the time to watch again and again.

Terminator 2 Judgement Day DVD (2001)

This is the first sequel to James Cameron's original masterpiece and a very worthy one at that.In my opinion it is much better than the first movie with amazing special effects for the time and some pretty solid acting from Schwarzenneger and Hamilton making it a rollercoaster ride from start to end.The version i purchased is the extended version and watched in full 5.1 DTS sound is an experience on its own i thoroughly enjoyed and recommend. With over 6hrs of footage with the extra features it's probably the best £2 i ever spent.Even though the second sequel has been out now for a few years i still believe this movie far outweighs the others on story,action and special effects in my opinion well worth a look.

Six Million Dollar Man Season 1 DVD

I had to buy this as i was a huge fan as a kid and it was exactly as i remembered it.A little dated maybee but for it's time i think the idea was brilliant and the remake is on it's way.I decided to buy as i think with all the computer generated effects thrust upon us it would be nice to go back and look how we used to watch sci-fi programmes and were equally as satisfied by letting the limted special effects and our imaginations do the work for us.I can't wait to get season 2.
