My Thoughts on Charlie Chan Carries On
Thank you for asking me to share my thoughts on "Charlie Chan Carries On." I believe that Earl Derr Biggers wrote six Charlie Chan mysteries, and this is the third one that I have read. It is an intriguing story about a group of people involved on a world-wide charter boat trip. At a stop-over point in London one of the passengers is murdered in a hotel room. As the voyage continues, a very competent London police inspector is convinced that the murderer is also one of the passengers on the voyage. He enlists the help on his friend Charlie Chan. Chan doesn't actually enter the scene in an active role until the second half of the book. His method of questioning is masterful, and by the time our cruise reaches San Francisco, Charlie has identified the guilty one.
This is a good read - it has scientific substance, a basket full on interesting characters, and ranks very high in the entertainment department. I am glad I purchased it on ebay. Stan Bowman

A lot of fun to watch - the characters were very believable.
This is one of those real "chiller" movies that holds your attention for every second. And then we have a real unsuspected surprise ending. The photography was very well done.

Meaningful and straight to your heart
A great overview of the entire Country Music story. The photos and music were great - the interviews and commentators were educational. This video really made it clear why this type of music in enjoyed by so many millions of people over so many decades. Ken Burns always does a great job.
