Immerse Yourself
Having owned another set of Tritton headsets, merely stereo as opposed to 5:1, I thought I’d try these out.
I have been using another very popular make of headsets recently with a small Dolby digital 5:1 processor. After they broke, they were very flimsy in comparison to my older set of Trittons, I decided to plump for the AX Pro’s.
The first thing that struck me was how sturdy they look and feel. The wires are also so much thicker than my previous headset’s.
The first game I tried was a popular first person shooter game. I couldn’t believe how much more sound there was inside my head!
At first it was a little off-putting. I found myself listening to the ambient sounds such as the wind howling, running water, my own footsteps, flies even!
Once my head had acclimatised to the amount of sound inside it I then realised that you can hear other people’s footsteps and the direction they are coming from!
They’re also great for watching movies with. All the sounds are crystal clear and the music in a movie sounds fantastic. Watching football on TV with them on is a little odd at first as you actually hear the crowd in the distance.
I’ve had them for a few months now and will definitely not be changing back to any other make of headsets for the foreseeable.

If You Like Silly
If you like pure, pointless silliness this is for you. I think it’s absolute genius, especially the way he’ll reel in an unsuspecting victim with what appears to be a perfectly plausible and reasonable suggestion or request. Then delivers a stupid bomb in the form of a letter.
The series of letters between Mr Cooper and a book publisher are wonderful. Almost Pythonesque.
