Does the job but be very careful how you connect it
An excellent price for the unit.
The unit look good when mounted and works fine.
The back of the unit is open and the circuit components exposed which may mean that they are not resistant to a harsh atmosphere such as a marine environment.
The shunt is well made but the mounting screws for the shunt's in/out are too small for the higher amperages
The main factor that lets it down is the lack of an accurate circuit or connection diagram.
There are 3 thinner wires - red black and yellow. These are the +ve (red) and -ve (black) power supply for the unit. The yellow is the line to the voltage to be sensed.
The 2 thicker wires are red and black but are NOT +ve and -ve, they are the connections to the shunt to sense the amperage.
The thin black and the thick black wires are connected internally, which means that the shunt has to be connected in series with the -ve part of the circuit to be monitored (not the +ve as would normally be the case.)
This typically Chinese. A good product at a good price with little or no useful guidance. Even if the English description is poor and confusing, a circuit diagram is unambiguous for anyone with a basic competence.

Does the job
Sensibly priced. Optics are easily good enough for general work.
The only criticism is that the outer rim diameter is too large to hold in the eye and requires being held by one hand, which is a handicap when used for two handed work.

Well engineered for the price.
Although mot the cheapest, for a mid-range hole borer it is robustly designed, and works well. One issue with hole borers is the handles. When working there is a lot of force through the handles, but these are robust and comfortable, and built so that it can be a two person operation in difficult terrains.
I did have a problem with the engine which did not run at all when delivered, but this was accepted back with little fuss and returned quickly. It now runs nicely. It is a machine that I will happily use.
