Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro
Recently won this cracking lens on Ebay and would like to say this is a great lens for telephoto work at a great start price. The lens is light and compact for a telephoto lens. its construction is good and has a metal caller for connecting to your camera unlike some which are cheap plastic. The lens will take great shots but will hunt sometimes while trying to lock focus, but its worth the wait. Its fast in most settings and if your camera is set to continues focus it is great for shots on fast moving objects and airshows. dd to that the switch at between 200mm and 300mm for Macro and you have a stunning value telephoto lens that's fast, compact and good quality in terms of initial outlay and shots taken. Would I recommend this lens? Yes. Foot note: I got this to attach to a Sony Alpha A500 with in-body vibration reduction and it works very very well. I think the AF lock is even faster using a Sony body. Saddestson
