One of the Best Horror Anthologies
1 of 1 found this helpful Dead of Night has suspense, humor, and a great atmosphere since its opening shot. Every story gets progressively longer throughout the film, and turn darker. The acting was superb, and the settings were appropriately designed for the film. My only complaint is that there is a background noise that can be heard in many instances during the film, which makes the experience very annoying. I did not mind it that much though, since it was a low noise. Overall, five stars.

Interesting Character Study On The Sexual Awakening Of A Girl
2 of 2 found this helpful I found out about A Real Young Girl in a list of banned films, and I decided to give it a shot. I had been spoiled a bit about the controversial subject matter in it, but as I watched the film I didn't find myself shocked by a any of it. There is nudity (depictions of both male and female genitalia), masturbation, and ejaculation. The director does not shy away from showing any of that. Most of the controversy surrounding the film may be centered on the fact that the protagonist is a pre-teen girl (played by a 21-year-old actress) entering puberty and acting on her sexual desires. I find the use of soundtrack and cinematography to be the strongest aspects in the film. The story is not strong enough to make one care about the characters, but its risqué nature on exploring the sexual awakening of its main character keeps it engaging throughout its running time.
