Perfect for keeping my 7-speed rear gearing alive
This is a genuine Shimano NOS part that is no longer manufactured. With both internal and external threading, it will work with either a 7-speed Uniglide or Hyperglide cassette. I used it to replace the 8-speed freehub that originally came on a new wheelset, since I run 7-speed rear gearing on my road bike. By installing this freehub, I was able to eliminate the need for a 4mm spacer behind the cassette, and thus return my rear hub spacing (between dropouts) to the original 126mm. Note that this part did not include the hollow fixing bolt (to fasten it to the hub), but the fixing bolt that came with my 8-speed wheel had sufficiently long threading to enable its use with this freehub.

Does not amplify most channels
I receive about 35 channels without this amplifier. After installing the amplifier, several of the channels I previously received were disrupted (pixelated) or totally unreceivable. This unit was a total disappointment.
