Terrific 17 track BEST OF Import Cd.
3 of 3 found this helpful This terrific 17 track BEST OF THE DOORS Import Cd features pretty much all their mainstream, casual fan hits. From the opening track "Riders on the Storm" to the aptly placed closer "The End", this seventeen track collection has all the hits fans of the band really love. For a band that was only around for ~5 years, THE DOORS produced many great tracks and this compilation has most of them including "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", "Break On Through (To The Other Side)", "People Are Strange", "Touch Me" & "Love
Her Madly". Unlike most best of THE DOORS collection, the version of "The End" lasts 11 minutes plus which is a nice touch since most compilation I've seen edit it down to around 6 minutes! Anyway, if you are a casual fan and want a Cd that's got all the hits, and a few more lesser known ones, than this 17 track IMPORT only release is perfect for you. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Ride On, Lizard King. :)

Real & Rare Acoustic Treat for JOHN LENNON faithful!
3 of 3 found this helpful This 16 track acoustic Cd features the legendary ex-Beatle JOHN LENNON in rare and hard to find acoustic versions of some of his greatest solo tunes, including such classics as "Imagine," "Working Class Hero," "God," "Cold Turkey," "Watching The Wheels" & "Real Love". Also features 2 LIVE tracks "The Luck Of The Irish" & "John Sinclair", taken from his LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY release. Liner notes feature lyrics and guitar tabs for each tune which is very cool, especially if you can play guitar. ACOUSTIC is a real and rare treat for the true JOHN LENNON fan and deserves a place in any faithful fan's collection for sure. And for that reason I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Peace. A good light alt-rock release.
4 of 4 found this helpful In a world of poor vocal work and screamers, the French alt-rock band PHOENIX stand apart with their brand of solid harmonies and what I call light alt-rock. Their latest release titled WOLFGANG AMADEUS PHOENIX has to date already produced three Top 20 hits, those being "Lisztomania," "1901" and the latest single "Lasso". No screamers, no in-your-face lyrics here, just good solid vocal work and musicianship, think Radiohead on valium, mellowed out but still with a bit of an edge! I bought the first two singles on iTunes and enjoyed them so much that I went ahead, and bought the whole Cd, and I'm glad I did. Really enjoy this Cd and highly recommend picking it up for even the casual fan. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Peace, saintly-sinner
