HAYSEED DIXIE A HOT PIECE OF GRASS

SINCE SEEING THE DIXIE LIVE I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING THE BACK CATALOGUE ON EBAY. THIS IS EASILY THE BEST CD THEY HAVE MADE. THEY MIX OWN SONGS WITH COVERS WITH A 'ROCKGRASS' TAKE THAT IS ORIGINAL AND NOT IN A JOKEY WAY. THEY PLAY THE INSTRUMENTS SPOT ON. COVERS INCLUDE HOLIDAY BY GREEN DAY, ROSES BY OUTCAST AND ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD BY NEIL YOUNG. IT'S ALL GOOD STUFF.

You Wanna See Something Really Scary ~Hayseed Dixie

After seeing this band live in my city in march 08, I just had to buy their back catalogue!!! This cd from 06 is a brilliant 5 track epmini cd. Although only 5 tracks,everyone is a blinder!!!There are 3 original songs and 2 covers. Those being the old haughting party athem 'Monster Mash' [ like you've never heard it done like before} and 'Bad Moon Rising' an old late 1960's rocker. All in all an excellent cd.If you dont buy it and have the chance, go and see them live.The're always in the U.K. constantly touring with the're unique bluegrass take on classic heavy rock and brilliant originals.
