Seriously easy to use and versatile.
People may knock this but it is a great drum machine. I got one with no manual and I am learning midi but this week alone I synced it to another drum machine via midi in under 3 minutes. Simple shift key to access the sub-menus beneath the steps. There is an A and B pattern you can switch between and a fill pattern you can write and use if you want a drum fill between the two patterns. I've used it for experimental lo-fi and trip hop, House, and Drum and Bass. It can hang with all genres. I have it paired with a Korg ES1-MKII. That is a sampler and drum machine and has built in effects. You can route the audio from the tomcat into the Korg and use the effects with both drum beats. I was sold on the sound after I saw a youtube video (Akai Tom Cat Studies I | Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross). it's crunchy and cold in a good way but is versatile too. I highly recommend it!!

Killer drum machine for live rig
Pre-programmed drum loops with fills and alternate patterns. Works great with a foot pedal to trigger drum fills. Follows midi clock and pairs great with a circuit or keystep. Sounds great clean or running through effects like an octave pedal for heavy bass or through the classic pioneer efx-500 for sweeps and delay. Get one for easy live drums that don’t go stagnant.

Killer tone!!
I bought this to fatten up my low end and this pedal delivers! I hate that it uses center pin positive but that is all EHX pedals. Otherwise I highly recommend this pedal if you want to make some house shaking bass.
