Cheap but fair for price
No softer than the saddle i took off. Not bad and good value for money. In hindsight i would have preferred to spend more for a better saddle...

Room for improvement
Bottom line is that it works.
You need to constantly check that the piston shaft is screwed in tight. It really wants to come undone.
I feel the pot on the end could be a little deeper too, as the char tends to fall out during the strike.
I do enjoy using this method to light a fire and it is worth the money just for the experience alone.
There are no instructions but there are plenty of YouTube vids out there.
If you're struggling to light your char try a slower but firmer strike and don't let it bounce back. If you can hold it down firm for an extra half second after your strike, you'll find it lights more often.

Great little camera

It comes with a whole bunch of features and does well in most situations. More than good enough for your average happy snapper and can surprise with some really good shots too.
I bought it for a family member that had one stolen. They were so comfortable with the old one that they didn't want to get something newer. This has to be a good endorsement in itself.
This is a great little camera and will be for a long time to come.
