Epic
I love this series. A combination of Narnia,Harry Potter with a very adult twist.
Intricate stories within stories full of eclectic characters whom despite their abilities and intelligence are still struggling with the mundane;parents,school, lover's and baggage.

Epic journey of selfdiscovery in a magical adventure.
As good as I remembered.
A fantastic journey story taking you through your favorite fairy tales in new and unexpected ways. Along the way there is comedy, unusual romantic connections and family drama involving shocking revelations and redemption. This is all set in incredible, fantastical but believable locations with strong characters beautifully written and acted.
I had this on vhs and after seeing it on DVD many years later it has not dated and still transports me to the magic of fairy tales with and adults perspective. I wish there was a sequel.
