The light of choice!
The choice of this light follows a series of 8 different flashlight types from e'bay.
(For a total of 19 lights purchased; from 800Lm to 1800Lm)
Application: interchangeability in walking, biking, and custom helmet mount; (Side, with adapter)
This light offers me the best light beam spread of all the Cree T6 models I have. The 1200Lm is still similar. (The higher Lm units, however, simply seem to focus the beam more into a spot to achieve higher illumination values, resulting in a "bright spot" with a surrounding halo.)
This unit provides less range, but a much more even fill - the best balance for my application. Think of illuminating a trail 4 meters ahead; you get nice, even lighting - full width. (Higher Lm units like 1300Lm, 1800Lm, etc will provide a similar width, but with a "brighter center" and a dim halo surrounding it.)
This unit also offers the most mobility in terms of size, and adaptability to my fixtures.
From a value standpoint it is a good purchase, an if it's features suit your application, I would definitely recommend!
