Small, light, not expensive and a good performer for most situations
2 of 2 found this helpful The Sony E system is very poor in lenses, there aren't too many to choose from. I read awful reviews about this wide angle lens, but I really needed something small and wide, so I gave it a try.
This lens really balances nicely with my NEX7, being very small and feather light. I don't use wide apertures, a fast wide angle lens is meaningless to me as do only street photography. Having read about the poor performance of the lens at the largest apertures, I decided to stick around 6,3 and f9, for my type of photography, it is ok. The results are very nice, although I don't do colour photography, so I cannot give an opinion about its performance in colour.
