Enlightning!
This book was very enlightning as to the plight of people affected by herphroditism. It confirms that all humans regardless of gender, race, being different, etc. have emotions and just need acceptance. The book tells the tale of Calliope (born a girl, according to the doctor that did not look close enough at the genetalia of the baby) who realizes at 13 years old that she is actually a boy - confirming incidents, feelings and physical changes throughout her childhood. The book was amazingly written and alot of history was learned in the process.
