WOW, THAT was FAST !
When your refrigerator starts making screeching, howling, groaning Halloween sounds, if you know "what's what" you know you need an "evaporator fan motor" PRONTO. (If you're lucky, this motor will warn you this way before it burns out and you have no cooling.)
My Supco replacement came in 4 days after order, and the price was sure right. Yes, I'm a happy purchaser!

Versatile Adjustable Kit that Lasts
This is a versatile adjustable kit that lasted me about 10 years. I'm replacing it now, and glad to get the same equipment.
It looks like one needs to do this repair (replace all water closet parts) about that time period, because the chlorine (or other disinfectant) in the water in most places will probably ruin the rubber parts and corrode the brass parts in about that time, even if you don't live in Detroit (hope you folks have that straightened out by now!).
This time the flapper valve had warped and was a slow leak. I was annoyed by that, until I looked and saw that everything else was at the end of its service life, too. If you don't (for example) replace the two bolts that hold the water closet on the toilet before they, or the washers, fail, you could end up with a flood, so best to keep an eye out on this and not put off needed repairs.
Anyway, this kit performed flawlessly for 9 years and that's a record for me. I really love the easy float level adjustment on the Fluidmaster (it's a little knob). Easy and precise. Anybody remember when one had to bend the brass rod holding the float (again and again)?
So, the price was right and THIS kit works, and works long and well.

Look, this does the job (heats water) but could be A FIRE HAZARD
1 of 2 found this helpful As others have mentioned, this heats water for sure, but unlike those that have been sold in stores in the USA for years these units do not "shut off" if the water boils out.
I too burned my counter top and consider it lucky I hadn't fallen asleep. There are easy, and less easy (a reset-able shut off) designs that could remedy this, but there is a good reason you cannot buy a unit like this in a store in the U.S.A. Beware: it's not worth your house or your life.
