Blanket chest

This kit went together easily. The drawers have thin sides, so I might actually be able to put something in them. I didn't think I'd like hinge-pins for the top, but it turned out that it worked well. The only part of this kit that didn't work were the handles on the drawers. The holes in the brass plates were too tiny to accommodate the folded over pins that were supposed to go into them. And it was pretty much impossible to get the tiny handles in place--I gave up. Other kits that I have put together had brass plates and a U-shaped piece of wire as the handle. I inserted my own U-shaped wire for handles. It works great. I'm very satisfied. I painted this as a Pennsylvania Dower Chest. It's a slightly large chest for 1" scale, but I like it very much and am glad that I got it.
