15kg Hemp Seed (Standard Size) For Wild Bird Feed & Carp Fishing
    24 Jul, 2022
    not the expected product
Product not as described - in a plain sack with a Bamptons printed label stuck on it, not branded at all as shown, and quite heavily contaminated with chicken mixed corn and another odd, small round yellow seed (immature hemp is a sort of green and hemp seeds have a pronounced ridge around them those lack) so not really deserving of the £2 premium paid (though I have no choice but to use it as help is getting hard to get (UK farmers have to buy a license to grow it..). I suspect this is in fact a Pidgeon feed mix.. though at least the quality is good (last lot of hemp from elsewhere which was all the right seed but I had to sieve a few rat sh@ts out which was why I chose something branded.) Unfortunately even the local feed merchant isn't able to supply sub ridiculous prices (rather than the inflation price rise). Some cross contamination is plausible but it's enough to cheapen in this case. Grain attracts rooks.. Yes they're technically birds (but they're better at breaking into feeders than pigeons..), but I prefer finches..
