Both connectors work well. This brand duo flash drive seems to be the only one that connects with my smart phone. Other flash drive connectors have been too short. The all metal design does get warm during use, as some reviewers have said. However, if you touch the metal connectors of plastic covered flash drives, these also get warm. Probably, best remove flash drive from device as soon as you are done, plastic or metal. These flash drives have a 5-year warranty.
