Green scales

Sensitive and beautifully written
Having a father suffering from Alzheimer’s, I was drawn to this heart warming yet heart breaking memoir. Sally Magnusson write from direct experience of seeing her beloved mother slip away from life into the most cruel of conditions which robs a vibrant soul of their personality, intelligence and capability. It reassured me that what we are experiencing with my father is not unique and what he is experiencing is simply part of having Alzheimer’s; the fears, the confusion, the frustration, the loss of independence. It’s just all so sad with the odd glimpse of humour to keep you going!
