Underrated work of art.

Bandwagon was an independent film released in 1996 about a group of 4 guys that came together to form a band in Raleigh, North Carolina. The film follows the band - named "Circus Monkey" - through their ups and downs as they set out on a "do-it-yourself" tour across the South. This movie stars Doug MacMillan of the Connells and was even rumored to be a bio-pic of their early years, although unfortunately the rumor is untrue. Bandwagon was filmed on location in Raleigh and features a few of the town's local bands and noticeable establishments (such as the Cat's Cradle). This movie received two awards from the Gijon International Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival when it debuted, and it received a nomination for the Grand Prize Jury award from the Sundance Film Festival as well. Needless to say, I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys independent films and wishes to relish an underrated, yet brilliant work of art. The film also stars Mr. Independent Film himself, Kevin Corrigan, who is just as pleasing to watch as ever. Make Bandwagon a top priority on your must-see list.
