You need to press very firmly to seal the case, but this means it is strong, so not necessarily a bad thing. I got mud and light rain on mine, but not a problem, my map stayed dry. It’s nice and big, so there’s plenty of room for an OS map or two. It’s also wipeable.
I paid £4 for the item, because I found a coupon on the eBay product page.
By the way, if you hang the lanyard and case over your head, from your left shoulder to your right hand side, with the seal to the left or right, it means you can bring the map up to view really easily and leave it to your side when you are not using it.
