#3153 Reverend Flatroc Rock Orange Electric Guitar Korina Body Wilkinson
10 Jul, 2016
A great, funky, hard rocking guitar!
I've been enamored with the look of the Reverend guitars now for a while, and after going back and forth on which model I wanted I decided to pull the trigger on the Flatroc. I took a chance and bought a used one and can't tell you how glad I am that I did. First of all, it's a cool, retro looking instrument. It's made of solid Korina with a beautiful translucent orange finish, and it's much lighter than the current electrics that i own. The guitar has a lot of sustain and a great warm tone. I went with the Flatroc because i already own a Telecaster and a Les Paul and I was looking for something with that mini humbucker bite and rockabilly twang. This guiitar has that sound, but is much more versatile than that. With the tone and the bass roll off knob you can dial any sound from a country twang to a hard rocking Warren Haynes Explorer sound. Or how about some classic British invasion style rock? You can easily achieve that "Won't get fooled again" tone by dialing in some overdrive. Secondly, the guitar feels great! I can't say enough about how good the neck on this thing feels in my hand. It has a beautiful satin polyurethane finish that slides across your palm like butter across a hot pan. The top and back are angled in just the right spots to make playing more comfortable. And did i mention this thing is light? It makes my Les Paul feel like i'm carrying a bowling ball. Third and most important, you're getting a lot of guitar for the price! Sure they're made in Korea but they are made with care and then are tested and set up in good old USA before going out to the customer. This guitar came set up to play for almost any style but a few turns of the thumb screws on the tune-o-matic bridge and I now have the action as low as I could possibly want it with no buzz. So if you're interested in a hard rocking, cool looking, bad ass guitar at a reasonable price, that doesn't look like anything else out there, look no further. And with all the different models with different pickup configurations that Reverend has to offer, you can find the perfect guitar for that sound you're looking for.

Washburn EA15ITB Mini Jumbo Acoustic/Electric Guitar Tobacco Burst - Blem #A643

A low budget jem
I recently sold my Gibson J100 Xtra after 20 years because more often than not it sat in the case under my bed. It was a great playing and sounding guitar but I rarely play anymore and it's too nice of a guitar to sit unused. However, I did need a replacement acoustic so when I found these Washburns online I was hesitant to say the least. I was used to a top quality guitar and i was about to spend less than $200 on a new one. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Mind you this one was a factory second that couldn't be priced new because of so called finish flaws. The guitar has an almost perfect finish a few minor wavy spots in the finish around the binding, so small that I was able to buff them out with a fingernail buffer. Now the sound of course is nowhere near the same volume or bass response of the Gibson, but it really does sound good. Especially plugged in. The on board EQ and tuner work great. I did have to adjust the neck a little and file down the saddle a little to get the action where i wanted it, but less than 15 minutes of work got it playing rather nicely. The neck is a tad smaller than the Gibson, but is very comfortable to play especially for someone with small hands like myself. The sound, while not booming and loud like my old guitar is articulate and has a sweet tone. All in all I'm very pleased that I purchased this guitar for the money you can't really go wrong.
Genuine Gretsch Chrome Electro Lap Steel Guitar Pickup 0069709000 New

Great Pickups. Low Price.
These are very nice pickups for the price. They have a great sound and very low noise for single coils. I bought them to replace the aftermarket pickups that came in my 2005 Gretsch Pro Jet that I bought used, and they dropped right in with no mods to the guitar. They have that nice bright "jangly" sound that you come to expect from a Gretsch. And they look Great in the guitar!!
