Genuine part - much more convenient than attempting to visit a clueless Vauxhall or Renault dealer
Ideally you need a dealer-only special tool to fit this so that it goes in squarely and to the right depth.
Also, it comes with a plastic collar that opens up the springs in the seal for the purposes of installing the driveshaft. The collar should then be slid out of the way and not left attached to the seal as this would cause the seal to leak. If the new driveshaft has no suitable groove to keep this collar in place and out of the way after it's been fitted you'll need to cut the plastic collar off to prevent it from straying into the seal and causing damage or causing the seal to start to leak.
