Goldtouch for alleviating RSI and other benefits
*If you experience pain or discomfort using a keyboard you should always contact your GP first! This is not a medically endorsed or recommended review from myself - it is my personal experience of using a Goldtouch keyboard for the last 10 years.
Many, many years ago my GP confirmed I had RSI and my employer, after a very detailed health & safety desk assessment provided me with one of these.
The keyboard has a lever on the top-left side, opening it allows you to angle the keyboard with the ball joint holding both sides together. Closing the lever locks the keyboard in place.
The angle is designed so that you create a circular space in between you and the keyboard, removes pressure on your wrists and also shoulders.
They key switches are soft, much better than having to bash keys to get them to work, and the keyboard is very responsive.
It's a USB connector but you can use a USB-to-PS2 if needed.
The keys are different to an average one. Scroll, Num, Windows key, options, Print Screen, Pause/Break, Delete and Backspace are located on the left hand side (but there is a Backspace key on the right too).
You will benefit from learning to touch type with this keyboard to get the full benefits and also ensure if you buy one for your work or home, that you set it up correctly with the correct advice.
