High waist, thick material
After reading the reviews I was uncertain about which size to buy. I typically wear a 12 or Large in Athleta. The reviews for these pants expressed a concern for the tight waist, which is something that matters to me. I like my pants to fit loose, but not baggy where they look sloppy. An issue I tend to have is the bottom of joggers accentuating my very large calves, or creating an imbalanced look--the thigh will loosen up, but the calf area does not. These pants were very accommodating for my calves and they do loosen up with the rest of the pant and keep that balanced look. If it wasn't for my large calves, I could have easily sized down to 12 petite. The color of these pants is very nice and oddly versatile; light pinks, whites, and blacks creates a nice color combo.
