This kit really does make up into a 'Museum Quality Model'
Possibly the best museum quality kit of the wright flyer on the market.
This kit took me two years to complete and requires some modeling experience and skill.
The time and effort invested were well worth it.
The detail in the wing spars, struts and rigging makes it look just like it should be in a museum display case.
It is an extremely delicate display only model and is not intended as a flying model.
I'm delighted with the results I got from making my model.

A fantastic quality silicone rubber that is very easy to use
1 of 1 found this helpful A fantastic quality silicone rubber that is very easy to use without the need for vacuum pumps and desiccators.
Follow the clear instructions and be prepared to leave your molds to fully set for 5 days before using with resin, plasters can be used virtually straight away.
It has a medium to high tear strength, I've cast my original 28 mm dry stone walls, some of which have really deep undercuts and they de-mold using the SG2000 resin like a dream.
I am old :-( I like old technology, this silicone rubber in conjunction with SG2000 resin, in my opinion, beats 3D printing for ease of use, speed of reproduction and item cost hands down :-)
Be inventive with the mold boxes round your masters, keep the amount of silicone rubber needed to fill the box to an absolute minimum and you will find 275g of this product goes a long way. The thinner you make the mold, the easier your cast will come out as well.
I make my mold boxes out of 3mm clay coated foam core board constructed on acrylic plastic sheets. I seal the bottom and sides with PVA glue, leave to set thoroughly for 24 hours.
The silicone rubber does not stick to the clay coated foam boards at all.
The PVA glue 'cracks' off the acrylic plastic sheets really easily using a sharp knife blade.
I use Sulfur fee clay (wax) to make my masters.

A quality product that has good consistency in both texture and colour from one delivery to the next.

Very easy to apply using basic (home made!) static grass applicators.
The product weight is just over 50g without the poly bag, no short measures :-)
Be aware that the longer in length the grass is the more bulky the bag will appear.
The bag weights will still be exactly the same at about 56 grams, sold by weight not volume.
I've been extremely pleased with the results using this product, very realistic.
