Well made rugged case with excellent balance between price and performance.
I've been bashing around my Boyt case for about 4-5 years and it's holding up like a champ. I've hauled it all over the country, taken it to countless range days, and a handful of 3-gun matches and I couldn't be happier with it.
When my step-dad suggested he might like a good hard case I bought him for Christmas the exact same one I've been using, and he's impressed with it as well.
There are nicer cases out there from Pelican and others, but they're A LOT more money. In my opinion, this Boyt case is 80% as good for 30% the price -which is a great balance between price and performance.
Pretty sure the case isn't 100% waterproof (especially if you jam-pack it full like I usually do), so if you require zero water intrusion if it were to get flipped out of a canoe -or other such disaster, then you may want to pay more for a top-tier case. But I have no worries about leaving it in the back of my truck during an afternoon rain storm.

Hard to say, easy to love. Hakkapeliitta is the best winter tire!
I did a LOT of ice racing in RWD and AWD vehicles from 2001-2012 and Hakkapeliitta was the tire to have if you wanted to win races in the non-studded tire classes. In my opinion there is no better tire when you need ultimate traction on ice or in winter weather conditions. Wear-rates and overall durability are also very good for a winter tire (I did about 15 rallycross's in dirt and gravel on those old "Hakkie's" as well -with no issues).
Fast forward to 2019 and I need to buy tires for my family-hauler station wagon (CTS Wagon AWD) for daily duty in the Wisconsin winter. I've run Blizzak's, Firestone's winter tires, and a few others on cars I've bought over the years -but I haven't been impressed with any of them. When it came time to spend money on a new set of dedicated winter tires for my family's main ride,,, there's only one choice. Nokian Hakkapeliitta.
I've logged about 900 miles on these R2's now in conditions down to -30 F, and I'm 100% satisfied. Tires give exceptional all-out grip with linear breakaway characteristics which results in a fun and confidence-inspiring driving experience -even in a heavy car like my CTS Wagon.
The wide tire I selected (245) quickly looses grip over thick slush, but this is a characteristic of any wide tire, and not of the Hakkapeliitta specifically. If you live in an area where you get a lot of the near-freezing heavy slush, you'll appreciate having a much thinner tire. Narrower tires cut through the slush to make better contact with the solid surface beneath the snow.
Buy once, cry once. That's my motto. Get a good product up front that you won't regret owning for years to come. My first Nokian tire purchase was in 2001. It wasn't cheap then and I definitely don't regret it. My latest Nokian tire purchase in 2019 wasn't cheap -and I'm already loving it.
