Ellery Queen Mysteries - entertaining and fun!
Quality cast and light mysteries with a touch of whimsy. Just sit back and enjoy them! It's not an intense concentration, mind-bending type of mystery series. They're just a lot of fun. Jim Hutton is one of my favorite actors and he's cut from the same mold as my favorite actor, Jimmy Stewart. David Wayne, a terrific actor in his own right, plays Jim Hutton's (Ellery Queen's) father. The stories take place in the late 1940s, which means your in for a treat whenever any background music plays.
I used to watch this series in the 1970s when it originally ran and missed it so much. (It's a shame it only ran one season) I would thoroughly recommend this series.
