Grover "Perma Tension" Banjo 5th Peg, Chrome, 118C

I just did!

It's the original tuning peg on the Vega. The design has been added to over the years, and I was pleased that the design had been modified to keep the shaft holding the strings from slipping out of tune. Grover has added a spring-loaded washer and another of nylon. Keeps the entire assembly very tight. If this one doesn't maintain its tightness, I'll try another design of right-angle gears, like the tuners on the the head. These work well. Shaller makes this design for the 5th peg of a banjo. Always been a problem, but the new designs are solving it. Thanks for selling the Grover tuners. They've been around for 50 years or more. I enjoy restoring instruments. Now doing pianos!
