Great inexpensive keyboard
2 of 2 found this helpful This inexpensive keyboard from Yamaha is quite a versatile and great sounding keyboard. Unlike more modern versions, this era of PSR keyboards (from about 1998-2005) has the capacity in the menu section to spread the keyboard sound across the whole 61 keys while playing in accompaniment mode and changing the split point to any position on the keyboard. It also (unlike the brand new ones) has the 5 pin MIDI in and out jacks which I need to use some drum machine and sound modules I have. Finally, these keyboards have the PC button on them (you don't have to go into menu) to change them from internal sounds to a MIDI controller with one press. All in all, this era of Yamaha keyboards has great sounds (the sampled grand piano is awesome) and more adaptability than new ones.

Very easy to program - small with good drum sounds
The number on this listing was wrong - the Zoom drum machine pictured is the RT-123. This drum machine is very easy to figure out and has great features for such a small unit: big variety of good drum AND bass sounds, ability to quantize high for natural feel, TWO drum sets available simultaneously for all self-programmed rhythms (kits and percussion), 99 user programmable rhythms, foot pedal functions, able to write rhythms with multiple bars, song and loop functions, step, tap and/or copy from the 298 supplied rhythms to program. All in all an excellent value, as I've found all my Zoom products to be. The only criticism I have is that I think Zoom wastes too much memory on the pre-set rhythms, with many of them being unusable because they are all only two bars longs (so too repetitive), or in styles you don't want or need. It would have been better to give us more user programmable memory and fewer pre-sets. That is a minor criticism, though and I guess hip-hop composers might like a lot of the pre-set rhythms. Anyway, get one - you can write much better rhythms than most keyboards give you and it's a great practice aid for any player.

see more of your beautiful Tele
I was so glad to see that someone besides me thought of removing the big ugly plastic pick guard on a Telecaster and replacing it with just a cover for the neck pickup. I was going to cut my own but then saw this metal cover. I don't know why they put such nice finishes on Telecasters and then cover them up. The cover is well made and fits perfectly - less expensive and better than something I could have made. Thanks
