Extending life of an old laptop

This used Intel T7400 CPU was bought to upgrade a Toshiba laptop with a much older and slower processor. It was carefully packaged and all pins were straight on arrival. Of course, fitting one of these means a lot of careful, time consuming disassembly of the laptop but once reassembled with correct heatsink compound it seems to be performing much better. Only time will prove reliability but in the mean time it has given this laptop a new lease of life and runs Win 10 OK.
