It's a surge suppressor.
It's a whole house surge suppressor, what more can be said. Easy connection. I hope that it never gets to be used.

Works to some extent for me.
I'm starting on my 5th tube of this cream. My results have been somewhat marginal. This cream doesn't stop the bruising but does seem to minimize it to some extent. It also seems to make the bruising disappear sooner. What I have found is that using it once or twice a day has made me aware daily that I have issues with my hands and forearms bruising and I take a lot more care with protecting them during mechanical and landscaping work. This has cut down on the amount bruising.

Cable is good a replacement
Would have been nice to have the lower section covered like the original Harley clutch cable did to add protection from engine heat.
