1984 Nineteen Eighty-four by George Orwell (Paperback) Penguin Books, Brand New
    19 Oct, 2019
A year to remember (or is it?!)
This is classed as one of the classics and as it was written a long time before 1984 some of George Orwells foresight is spooky. The tale itself is vicious and depressing and I found it hard going and was happy to get to the end. I nearly gave up on a few occasions but made myself carry on with it. I'm very glad that the current world is not a world like 1984 but sometimes, items on the t.v. and things that happen are quite scarily near to the storyline. Trust nothing and no-body.

Good As Dead (Tom Thorne Novels) by Mark Billingham, Good Book (Paperback) Fast

    Holds intrigue
This is a must read until it has been read. The storyline is so captivating that you just have to know what happens in the end.

Key word to what the story encaptures.
Mark Billingham is an excellent crime fiction writer. This is the third book in his Thorne series of books and each one just becomes better and better than the last. His skill of interlocking seperate events makes the reading interesting and compelling. I spend most of my 'spare' time now reading his books rather than watching t.v. I will be ordering the next one in the series as I come to the end of this one.
