Fast, high quality results
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the first self-freezing machine I’ve owned and I’ve been very impressed with the results.
It’s dead easy to operate and is reassuringly ‘commercial’ in its build quality. It looks professional and utilitarian - which I like! Also good to know that all the spare parts are available if it ever needed repair, but I’m not expecting it to fail as m only using it domestically.
It’s a big unit and quite loud in operation but I’m sure that’s true of all this type of equipment.
The capacity is 2ltrs, which is more than many competing machines, and it’s helpful because ice cream mixture expands as it freezes and it would often overflow on previous machines I’ve used.
It takes about 35 minutes I find to make one batch to ‘whippy’ consistency at which point the mixtures tends to stop moving around the paddle. The machine will stop automatically before damaging itself, but You can hear when the motor starts to labour, and that’s when I stop it. The display shows the current operating temperature, which is useful to gauge what it’s doing.

Great for C5
1 of 1 found this helpful These are much better than the combined metal and plastic bodied alternatives available. The unibody construction is much better suited to automative use, as the plastic and metal ones can fall apart (as my last set did). I bought these before for a previous car and they didn’t fail.
Very bright and nice cool colour temperature too. The best on eBay for the C5 in my opinion.
