Own don't rent. Save $$$$
2 of 3 found this helpful One of my best decisions in years. Swapped out my optimum modem in minutes. Disconnect Optimum's rented modem, plug in my own new modem, call optimum, wait a few minutes for them to activate your new modem, DONE. In 9 months I will never have to pay optimum a monthly rental fee again as well a getting my $99 bucks back. No brainer.
