Elac Debut B6 Black Open Box Bookshelf Speakers (Pair)

ELAC Debut B6s are exactly what the reviewers said they were

I recently dove into the audiophile world as a distraction from COVID-19, but am now living on a reduced budget. So, a budget-friendly stereo system is the primary focus. The ELAC Debut B6 monitors have been one of the products highly respected by the YouTube and written reviews over the last year or so. I wanted to experience what these reviewers were describing...so I bought a pair a few weeks ago; and I have to say that the reviews of folks like Zero Fidelity, Cheapaudioman, and the rest were spot on. For the just barely over $200 (with tax and shipping) that I paid for these speakers...they are well worth it. No, they are not perfect, again see those reviews, but they have a magic to them (my wife really likes them). Too bad they are no longer in production, but their replacements...the B6.2s...are actually an improvement in many ways, so there is that conciliation. :-)

This is a good option, for its price.

This product generally does what it advertises. However, it is particular concerning what age/model of MAC is being used. Also, there is a bit of noise in the recordings...but that could just be the quality and age of my tapes. It is nice to have a device that will capture my old garage-band music that will never see a CD or stream.
