Comparison with the original CB Hide Food
2 of 2 found this helpful I have used the original Connolly Bros Hide Food regularly since the early 1960s until that fine company closed. All I can say from a user's angle is that the Gold Label product applies in a very similar manner, penetrates the leather very similarly, and leaves a similar light residue which polishes up nicely. Both are basically lanolin suspended in white spirit and as a user I would be hard pressed to distinguish between the the two products. In terms of value, I do not recall the last price I paid for CB's product, but from recollection today's Gold Label price seems significantly less.

Simply the best!
Since the 1960s Snopake has been consistently the best professional correction fluid on the market for pre print and photocopy 'tidy-up'.
It still comes with fine brush for smooth and accurate application, has very good opacity, doesn't form 'hillocks' and being solvent based dries quickly maintaining excellent dry adhesion. Simply the best!

Needed for a cornice repair
For a cornice repair requiring the correct material ie PoP. Right amount for the job with little waste, this was absolutely fresh plaster which performed correctly. PoP can go off in weeks and is only worth storing if used regularly so small quantities posted out without the hassle of a DiY store really are cost effective. Also, this arrived in the north of Scotland next day!!
