The monopod on a mission

The reviews before purchase were great and expectations high but yes, justified. The design thought put into the function and build of this wizard's stick of a carbon fibre monpod is there in the packaging onwards. The options in assembly are great and relevant too. Don't expect a compact pod if you keep the feet attached in transit, for a good reason however. The retracting feet are substantial and it is just not possible to fold back into a closed position without creating some bulky lump on the end of an otherwise sleek pod. The use of twist grip locking as opposed to levers will not suit everybody and it may take me some time to adjust in my daily photographic survey work. Good to buy equipment which so well demonstrates a grass roots approach to design rather than the tweaking of a bored marketing department. Thank you.

A great back up device

The only issue here is its claimed 4TB capacity. No, 3.6TB Maxtor and please don't talk about normal short falls on hard drive capacity. That's 400GBs of nothing. Saved by the fact it is quiet, compact and yes, good value as at September 2016. Would I have bought it knowing it has only 3.6TB. No. Do I regret buying it. No.
