    Lee Evans - Comic Genius!
I'm a huge Lee Evans fan and the girlfriend has most of the DVD stand up routines that he does (well.... the DVD's were mine, but being a girl - feels it her place to take what's mine!). I've watched this DVD a few times now and everytime I watch it I somehow hear a new joke that I haven't heard during the other viewings?! His slap-stick, fast-paced comedy makes him a genius. And the ability to keep his jokes clean is an extra bonus as it's far to easy to try and get a joke by being crude. He simply states the obvious, and yet somehow tells it in an amusing way that makes you giggle. I've tried soooo hard not to laugh during watching any of his DVD's - yet I found myself wetting myself laughing (my sides hurt I was laughing sooooo much!) - you just can't help yourself!! ;o) Admitted, some of the jokes you think... "well... OK" - and not laugh at, or maybe for the younger people you won't quite understand some of them, but on the whole - Lee caters for everyone and is sure to make you laugh and have a good night in front of the telly! Well worth a look if you like some of the other Lee Evans stuff. Most stand-up comics don't do anything for me, but Lee is a breathe of fresh air with his humour.

HTC Desire - The Best Phone On THe Market!
I've been a huge fan of Nokia since I was 18 - I'm now 33... Always having the latest Nokia phone... I knew the brand, how they worked, and understood the company, and the direction the company wanted to go. In my opinion, the N95 was the best phone that Nokia ever produced. I went from the N95 to the N97. What a mistake... The N97 was dire. Symbian itself wasn't an issue as the N95 was Symbian, but the N97 had a messed up version on it installed (S60 5th edition). Phone randomly crashed until I installed the latest updates on it, and it wasn't "smooth" or "sleek". Nokia are a company currently going through O/S pains, with trying out Linux (N900) and dropping Symbian like a lead balloon (now open source). I was so disappointed with the N97 performance and lack of response with the touch screen, I assumed that all touch screen phones were the same... and I was about to go back to a non-touch screen phone. And being a devoted Nokia fan for all those years, I also wondered how Nokia could release such a shambles of a phone and clam it was the "iphone killer" on launch. I sold my N97 reluctantly though (better the devil you know!), for the HTC Desire after my girlfriend got one as an upgrade. I was so impressed by it, and even jealous... her "upgrade" walked all over my (*cough*) iPhone Killer phone! It was the first time I'd ever strayed from the Nokia brand... I was was now scared and alone... I've had mine for a few weeks now. Already debranded it, unlocked it, and loving it! It's sleek, smooth, slim and stylish. It simply "works". I've lost the ability for push emails, I'm back on the pull system - but I can set it to pull every 15 minutes so at least it's very frequent. The screen is very responsive, and I love the "pinch" facility to zoom in/out of the screen (same as iphone). Ideal for internet and Google Maps. The 1ghz processor simply makes this phone fast to respond, screen is actually responsive. Having the Android system on it I was sceptical as it's the newest of the phone operating systems, and I haven't got any experience with Android. Screens are easy to use, logical to find things, and additional software is a breeze to install thanks to Android's "market" which apparently is the second largest app store - only second to Apple's App Store. For the newest bad boy on the block, it's an impressive status... The built-in GPS can be accessed by third-party apps like CoPilot, so your not stuck on Google Maps. Google Maps appears to be good to use, but you must have internet access wherever you travel, unlike CoPilot which reads the map data direct off the memory card - so you'll always have navigation no matter where you travel. It also has built-in WiFi, and automatically connects to known wifi signals to check for updates for installed apps, or for system updates. Update checks are also done through 3g, and software can be updated - but with the system updates - this must be wifi due to the size of the firmware file - around 140mb. Simply put, if you want a phone that works, and is simply fantastic... buy the HTC Desire! Simply fantastic. As HTC say themselfs.... "Quietly Brilliant" - and I agree. It's too quiet. I want to shout how good this phone is!
