Have used this as a Hifi outlet

Good strong contacts. The unit can be taken to bits easily. All of the metal contacts cleaned using Duraglit, Brasso + cotton buds. Then cleaned off in hot water and cotton buds. Finally all of the metalwork needs treating with Deoxit to stop it reoxidising using cotton buds again. Then the unit was re-assembled. When connected, the live & Neutral shutters can be opened by inserting a spare 13amp plug earth pin. REMEMBER to Switch Off At FUSEBOX when re-applying Deoxit. Yes more cotton buds.

Works well but not cheap

After a while U need a new a new filter sponge. These sponges are good quality but they are not cheap foe 2 bits of sponge.
