English Muff'n with a buttery creamy tone! Really great pedal!
2 of 2 found this helpful I recently picked up an Egnater Rebel 20 which is a single channel amp no overdrive. I wanted something that I could get a sound like when the gain is dimed.
I did some research and found that the English Muff'n was not one of the cold plate designed tube drives. I picked this one up and it works really well. You have to watch the treble on it it pretty much max's out about halfway. It has the stock 12ay7's in it and has MORE than enough gain on tap. But also you can change the tubes out for different tones and more gain.
The only thing I dislike about the pedal is the Power Supply. I really wish that it ran off the same voltage as the rest of my pedals ( 9V DC ) it runs off 12 VAC. The other thing that might bother people is the size it doesn't bother me I only use a couple of pedals.
Overall I really like it, it's a tone monster. Great Gain, the ability to change tubes for more gain and tone options.
